International Salon Culinaire at Hotelympia is the UK's largest and most prestigious chef competition programme, and will incorporate over 100 classes over the course of four days. There are four categories of competition that will showcase the impressive skills and talent within the industry. 


Salon Display
A stunning display of hand-crafted exhibits that will include work in sugar, chocolate, pastillage and fat, as well as vibrant buffets, platters and restaurant plates, that showcase the incredible skills within the industry.

Skills Theatre
A  programme of classes for chefs at the start of their career (apprentices, students and those new to competitions), which will enable them to hone and demonstrate the skills that will be vital to their career such as fish filleting, butchery, knife skills, preparing classical sauce etc, plus the Skills Theatre will also include some service competitions that will challenge front of house staff.

La Parade des Chefs
Two teams of chefs will compete each day in state of the art kitchens, to produce a three course lunch for show attendees for up to 100 covers. Show attendees will be able to view the chef teams at work through glass panels, plus will be able to reserve a table for lunch price TBC (details of the menus will be available and bookings will be open towards the end of the year).



Live Theatre
A fast paced series of hot live classes, taking place in 10 x adjacent kitchens in which chefs will compete in a variety of competitions from preparing a three course menu, to putting a new twist on classic ingredients, creating a show-stopping dessert or racing against the clock to producing a contemporary pasta dish, plus many more …
