Hot Talent

THE FINALISTS>>

Hotelympia 2012 is searching for tomorrow’s industry stars, today, and offering the chance to be personally mentored by some of the industry’s leading names, with the launch of its Hot Talent Awards scheme.

Hotelympia’s Hot Talent Awards have been set up to celebrate, nurture and reward the best young talent that the industry has to offer. So, if you are under 30 years-old and a high achiever working in hospitality, we want to hear from you.

It doesn’t matter which role you work in, or what level you are on the ladder, Hot Talent has been designed to showcase those individuals who go above and beyond the expectations of their job title. .

If you know a hot talent, you can leave their name and contact details here. We’ll send them an entry form so they can enter for a chance to be mentored.

From there, 10 successful finalists will be asked to submit a ‘talking head’ video from which the eventual winners will be picked. Mentors include Ben Spalding, Head chef at London’s Roganic, front-of-house consultant Esher Williams, and Editor of Restaurant Magazine William Drew, who will all be judging the entries.

The Winners will be announced at Hotelympia’s ‘Big Event’ on the evening of Monday 27th February 2012.

Ben Spalding

"It's a fantastic idea, and a definitive way to help keep the industry moving forward. I have entered several high profile competitions, they are really tough and a massive learning curve, you get so much back from them."
Ben Spalding, Roganic

"I am excited by the Hot Talent Competition. It is a valuable chance for young people in the Hospitality Industry to receive credit for their hard work and dedication. I encourage those who believe that they achieve excellence in the kitchen or front of house to tell us about their experiences.

I am looking forward to meeting those who stand out from the crowd. My team are ready to welcome the winner and give them an insight into our business of fine dining restaurants."
