Firstly, I love food, not software. My favourite apple is a Granny Smith, not a MacBook. And my success is measured by the quality of the food, the happiness of the staff and by the way we manage the ever-changing elements of the food chain in this tough economic environment.
In my previous role as Executive Chef for a catering organization turning over £10m I was responsible for every aspect of food production, standards and strategy. This seemed far removed from running my own restaurant on the Isle of Wight, the pride of achieving a second AA Rosette and the constant interaction with local suppliers.
