The revitalised Hotelympia returned with a bang in 2014, with exhibitors and visitors alike praising the raft of format changes implemented by show organisers, Fresh Montgomery.
With a stunning new look, a host of new attractions, new four-day format and a new spring date in the diary, delegates were quick to heap plaudits on the show. Singled out for particular praise was the new, giant main hall featuring a purpose built entrance tunnel with sensory elements provided by some of the UK’s leading interior design companies. Once inside, visitors were treated to a warm hospitality welcome from Hotelympia’s team of specially trained ambassadors – the Show Makers – recruited from leading catering college, Westminster Kingsway, and on hand throughout the four days to offer advice on show attractions.
Sir Terence Conran to be Honoured with Hotelympia Lifetime Achievement Award
Sir Terence Conran is to be inducted into Hotelympia’s Hall of Fame, collecting a prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award, which recognises the impact he has made on the London restaurant and hotel scene during more than five decades in hospitality.
The respected design guru and restaurateur will collect the award – a unique piece by highly respected glassblower, Peter Layton – in person on the first day of the event (April 28th) on Hotelympia’s Main Stage at 15.30.
